Parish Information
Pastoral Programs of Evangelization For over 14 years the parish has promoted and enhanced the small community model of evangelization. This model was introduced through the evangelization efforts of the SINE program. At the present time there are 8 small communities. A couple of them have been together for 12 to 14 years. General input, reflection and prayer is scheduled on Thursday evenings. This is always conducted in Spanish. People who have participated in the small communities and regularly attend on Thursday nights have found that it makes a profound impact in their lives. Parish Pastoral Council The Pastoral Council was re-organized in the Fall of '96. Previous to that time for a few years it was a ministry council. Representatives of the ministry groups were chosen to meet as a Pastoral Council. The new representative structure is; the 8 small community leaders, 2 representatives at large (serving a term of two years), 2 representatives named by the Pastor (serving a term of two years). The reason for the shift was a) to deal with the day to day pastoral needs (i.e. family needs, life's tensions, youth issues) as a council, and b) to have a general parish election process. The Pastoral Council meets 9 times during the year. Youth Ministry Group Activities: Participation in Archdiocesan Super Youth Spectacular March 1, 1998 at the Henry B.
