        RELIGIOUS FORMATION MISSION STATEMENT:
        The St. Anthony de Padua Religious Education Committee will actively
        encourage and foster Catholic Education and Spiritual Formation for all
        ages, for the purpose of developing positive relationships with God and
        one another.

        This education will be accomplished through the recognition and
        appreciation of our parish history and traditions, and achieve with the
        spirit of hospitality and the empowerment of all our parish community
        members.

        CHURCH HISTORY

        Session Content: The Church in the 17th & 18th Centuries
        Tuesdays: 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.

        Text: "Concise History of the Catholic Church", Thomas Bokenkotter

        Presenter: Richard J. Meskill
        Richard Meskill has an MA in English from the University of the
        Incarnate Word. He has been a public school and college educator and
        administrator and former newspaper editor. Richard is a member of St.
        Anthony de Padua.

        UNDERSTANDING CHRISTIAN SPIRITUALITY

        Session Content: Christian Spirituality from its biblical roots
        to present day. how Christian men and women have
        come to understand, value and direct their lives
        as disciples of Jesus in their own world, and
        how today, God, a vital personal presence, acts
        both within individuals and the community.

        Presenter: Elaine Shaw, Ph.D.
        Elaine Shaw has been an educator for many years. She has taught in all
        levels, elementary through college. She received her Doctorate from
        Catholic University. Elaine is a member of St. Anthony de Padua.

        SCRIPTURE REFLECTIONS ON THE GOSPEL OF LUKE

        Session Content: Participants will walk an insightful journey
        through St. Luke's GOspel, reflecting on God's
        activity in the world through the person of
        Jesus christ, that we must understand and apply
        to our lives today.

        Presenter: Alonso Perales
        Alonso Perales has a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction from the
        University of exas at Austin. He was a Fullbright Scholar in Applied
        Linguistics in South America. He is retired after serving 35 years in
        Education. Alonso is a member of Sta. Anthony de Padua.
