1. Msgr. Leising gave a description of two sites visited in the Diocese, Nativity in Orchard Park and Queen of Heaven in West Seneca to tour their Parish Centers. Msgr. Leising said the construction of these buildings was not relevant to our needs. Information was obtained about the cost of the construction of these Parish Centers and how the ftinds were raised to finance them. The committee will check out Assumption in Elma next.

2. A blueprint of an addition to the school was available for the members to see, and a report on the layout of the new addition was given by Debbie Nailos. Questions concerning the school addition were directed to and answered by Debbie Nailos. It was agreed that the issue to be addressed is: Does the Parish want to have Catholic school? Do we want excellence in Catholic education for St. Mary's parishioners?

3. Msgr. Leising said  15 peop1e have responded to his call for architects, financiers, etc. in the bulletin. He will meet with them February 18, 1998.

DISCUSSION Some concerns brought up were:

1. Should an elevator be put in the school. It was noted there has never been a student attend St.  Mary's Elementary in a wheelchair. The cost of this project would be very expensive.
2. What type of labor-union or non union?
3. What type of means would be used to finance the projects of a new addition to our school and a Parish Center? Msgr. Leising mentioned he is meeting with two people who are involved in fund raising to get ideas.
4. At previous meetings it was decided a parish census was needed. Msgr. Leising mentioned he had someone who might be interested in overseeing this project, and he was going to get back to him in the Spring. The Parish computer system is being prepared to simplity the project of a Parish census.
