WORSHIP SCHEDULE
| SACRAMENTAL
LITURGY; BAPTISM: is celebrated on the second and fourth Sundays of each month, except during Lent, during or immediately after the 12:00 Noon Mass. Pre-Baptismal instruction is available usually in the first week of each month. Church law requires that persons who are to be godparents for baptism be practicing Catholics, who are on record as participating regularly in Mass on all Sunday and Holydays of Obligation, and in the holy Sacraments of Reconciliation and Holy Eucharist. If they are married, their marriage must be according to the Catholic Church, and if they have children, they must provide them with proper religious instruction. Letters of Recommendation are available only for persons who fulfill these conditions. Catholics who are members of a different parish and who are to serve as godparents for Baptism, are expected to bring a Letter of Recommendation from their pastor stating that they are practicing Catholics and are qualified to serve as godparents. CONFIRMATION: We celebrate Confirmation usually in the fall season. Preparation begins in January. Those who wish to receive Confirmation arrange by contacting our Religious Education Office. MASSES: Weekdays at 7:30 and 8:15AM. Saturdays at 4:30PM; Sundays at 8:00 and 10:00AM and 12:00 Noon. Holydays of Obligation: Eve 7:00PM; 10:00AM and 7:00PM. RECONCILIATION: Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 8:00AM; Saturdays at 4:00PM. First Fridays at 7:00 and 8:00AM. Eves of Holydays of Obligation at 6:15PM. Anytime by appointment. Communal liturgies of Reconciliation with private confession are scheduled during Advent and Lent. ANOINTING OF THE SICK: is available anytime upon request. We celebrate an Anointing Mass each quarter, usually on a Saturday morning. Dates for this are announced in our weekly bulletin. MARRIAGES: should be scheduled about six months in advance. A Pre-Cana program is required. MINISTRY TO THE SICK: Sick and shut-in parishioners are welcome to telephone our parish office to request a visit. A priest or a Eucharistic Visitor will bring Holy Communion. Likewise, a priest will come for Confession and/or Anointing of the Sick. SPECIAL DEVOTIONS:Rosary each weekday morning at 7:10AM. Novena in honor of St. Joseph each Wednesday morning after the Rosary. Sacred Heart Devotion each First Friday during both Masses. Stations of the Cross on Friday evenings during Lent. Our Advent Retreat evening and our Lenten Retreat (three to five days) are important parts of our yearly worship program. The Spiritual Life Committee of our Parish Council arranges these. |
