| We, the people of God, members of the Community of St. Mary's Catholic
Church of Fort Wayne. Indiana, do declare ourselves to be caring and sharing members in
the Mission of Jesus Christ and do unite with each other, with our Pastor, with the Chief
Shepherd of our Diocese, with the Bishop of Rome and Successor to St. Peter and with all
members everywhere of the Mystical Body of Christ. As workers in
that Mission, we seek to share both the Word and the Work of Jesus Christ by proclaiming
His Gospel, building His community, celebrating His liturgy and serving His people.
Believing that spiritual welfare and physical welfare go hand in hand, we reach out to one
another and to our neighbors in need to share the gifts of God's love and the resources
each of us has been given.
We are committed to economic and social Justice and to peace and an end
