The Catholic Community of Taylor County is a vibrant family of worshipping Christians gathered around the Eucharistic table, and living out the sacramental and gospel way of life in the larger community. We welcome your presence with us.

Since 1914, when Louisiana Cajuns, working in the nearby cedar and cypress industry, were given land and materials to build a church, there has been a Catholic presence here in Taylor County. Through years when priestly presence was rare, a dynamic and deeply faith-filled laity kept the parish alive, the young instructed, and their hearts focused on Jesus.

In 1968, the parish was given to the care of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate. Founded in 1816, the Oblates are today one of the largest missionary congregations in the Church, serving people in 68 countries on all continents. Ministering to the rural communities of North Florida, including Perry, the Oblates bring the resources of a world-wide family of five thousand priests and brothers and a spirit of family to this lovely part of the state -- the "real" Florida.

We often have the privilege of welcoming travelers, new residents, and other friends to our worship services. You are most welcome; we hope you feel at home with us.
