Parish Organizations

Ushers (Greeters):

A group of men or women who act as greeters at the entrances to the Church, seat people at Masses, assist at the various collections and assist in distribution bulletins or flyers.

Membership: Any interested person willing to attend the same Mass on a regular basis.

Rosary Society:

The Rosary Society is made up of a group of dedicated men and women who meet on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. to recite the Rosary in Church. This group has been meeting for many years.

They have also organized a group of people who, because they cannot make a commitment to come to Church on Wednesday evening, have made another kind of commitment. They have formed what is called the Perpetual Rosary Society. These people have committed themselves in pairs to recite the Rosary at least once a day for the period of one week on an alternating schedule. The Rosary Society would also welcome volunteers to augment their ranks in order that the Rosary can become a strong presence in our parish in the fixture as it has been in the past. Anyone interested in this activity, can contact Mr. William Dell'Oro through the rectory office.

The Parish Council:

The Parish Council advises the Pastoral Staff, sets goals for the parish and provides the catalyst necessary to live out the Parish Mission Statement.

Primary Tasks:

To foster the spiritual renewal of the parish family.
To encourage the ecumenical spirit.
To maintain positive communication with parishioners.
To identify and encourage the use of the gifts and talents of all parishioners for the good of the parish and the local community.
To establish goals and objectives for the parish and prioritize their implementation.
To coordinate
parish related activities and ensure that goals, objectives and priorities are implemented.

Membership: Representatives from all parish organizations and parishioners elected by parish vote in May of each year.

Meetings:

First Tuesday of January, February, March, May, June, August, September; October and November at 7:30 p.m.
Goal setting and review in June (Ml day on Saturday).
A total of eight (8) meetings per year.
